You have questions, we have answers!

For Parents/Families:

  • Do I have to have a Facebook account to use Juggle?

Absolutely not, however, it is highly recommended!  Connecting your account to Facebook allows you the opportunity to see who your friends and associates have used and reviewed.  It also adds a layer of security for both the sitters and the families hiring them.  To connect your Juggle account with your Facebook account, log out of Juggle and log back in using the “Continue with Facebook” option.

  • How do I use Juggle / Get a referral code?

The Juggle app is available in the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id1139575903, and through Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jgl.juggle. After downloading, you will be prompted to enter a referral code.

The best way to obtain a referral code is from a loyal Juggle user.  If you don’t know a current Juggle Family or Sitter you can request a referral code by reaching out to Juggle through FB messenger on our FB page: www.facebook.com/juggleit or by emailing support@whyjuggle.com.

  • Do you only offer babysitting and petsitting?

The first version of Juggle is offering babysitting and petsitting, but we can arrange party assistance and homework help for you as well.  Please email support@whyjuggle.com with your specific needs!

  • Do you offer overnight sits?

While you can’t schedule an overnight sit through this first version of the app, we are working on adding this capability. In the meantime, if you have a need for an overnight sit, please reach out to Juggle at support@whyjuggle.com and we can make arrangements for you.

  • What are your RATES:

Rates vary depending on service area and holiday surge pricing. Below are the standard rates for most of our service areas:

    Babysitting Rates

    • 1 child—$13/hour*
    • 2 children—$14/hour*
    • 3 children—$16/hour*
    • 4 children—$18/hour*
    • 5+ children – Please reach out to support at support@whyjuggle.com. Whether or not your family requires more than one sitter is determined on a case-by-case basis.

    Surge Pricing

    • During holidays or other days of special meaning (college football games, graduation, etc.), Juggle may institute increased hourly rates at their own discretion in an effort to encourage sitters to book.

If you have more than five children, for instance, if you have multiple families getting together and need a Juggler to supervise the children, it is necessary to hire more than one Juggler. At least two families will have to make requests for the same job. *An approximate 20% development fee is built into Juggle’s hourly rate

    Pet Sitting Rates

    1 pet: $13/hour

    2 pets: $14/hour

    3 pets: $16/hour

    4+ pets: $18/hour

  • How do Juggle subscriptions work?

Juggle does not charge an automatic subscription fee. There is a $4.99 booking fee for each job, and users have the option of choosing a $9.99 monthly fee for unlimited bookings.  Once you choose a subscription, it automates on a monthly basis.  Should you wish to cancel your subscription simply go to “payment” in the app menu and change your payment plan to “Pay-as-you-go.”

  • Why do you need my credit card information?

As a convenience for our users, Juggle has streamlined the payment process by using a third party credit card processing firm. No more fumbling for cash or your checkbook, trying to do the math in your head.  After each job you are able to review and approve payment.  Additionally, you have the option to enable AutoPay at the time you create each booking.

  • Can I meet/interview a Juggler before I hire him or her?

If you would like the opportunity to get to know your Juggler before the job, you are encouraged to book the job with a half hour lead time. That way, you can be around while your children or pets and the Juggler get to know each other.  If you don’t have time for this but would like to interview a Juggler, please set up a 1 hour booking in the Juggle app.  Put as many helpful details in the job request as you’d like.

  • What if I need a Juggler on a recurring basis?

You can request a sitter for multiple days and times by using our “Apply to Future Dates” function.  Simply put in your start date and time, then click the repeat button to schedule more days for that same time.  With “Apply to Future Dates” you can book the same recurring sitter for up to 3 months at a time.

  • Is it necessary to tip a Juggler?

While Juggle gives the option of tipping your juggler at the end of the job, it is not necessary. It is completely discretionary; if you feel your juggler has gone above and beyond, and would like to tip him or her, we make it easy to do so.

  • What if I need a Juggler for less than an hour?

There is a one hour minimum for hiring a Juggler. This covers the Juggler’s travel time.

  • What if a Juggler doesn’t respond to a request?

After one hour, you will have the ability to go back and request another Juggler for the same job.

  • How do I contact a Juggler?

You can use Juggle’s unique in-app messaging system to reach out to a sitter at any time.  Once a Juggler has accepted a job request, you will be provided with their personal contact information. It’s important, however, to fill in job details when submitting a request.

  • How do I reschedule a booking?

If only the hours of a booking need to be changed within the original booking date, you can arrange this by contacting your juggler directly, and he or she will check into the job for the new hours.  If you need to change the date of a booking, you will need to cancel and re-book within the app.

  • What if I need to cancel a Juggler?

You have the ability in the app to cancel a scheduled Juggler by going to your bookings page and to the booking you wish to cancel.  If a job is canceled within 24 hours of start time, Juggle gives you the option of either receiving a 1-star review or paying the sitter a small custom amount to compensate them for their time commitment and missing out on other potential Juggle jobs.

  • What if a Juggler cancels?

When booking initially, you have the option of choosing to have your job move automatically into open jobs in the event your sitter has to cancel.  If you are in a bind and it’s last minute, you can choose to offer a bonus to sitters for taking your job.  You can contact Juggle at support@whyjuggle.com for assistance in the event of a last-minute cancelation and we will make every effort to find a replacement!

To discourage sitter cancelations, they receive an automatic 1-star review for cancelations within 24 hours of a job.  Three last-minute cancelations result in suspension from the app.

  • Can I favorite a Juggler?

Yes! To make it easy to see if a Juggler you’ve used before, and liked, is available, you may favorite them and they will appear at the top of the list of available Jugglers. Favorite a Juggler by pressing the heart on their profile.

  • Does Juggle perform background checks?

YES!  Most of our sitters have background checks, and are designated as having one by a green badge next to their name in your search list and their profiles.

  • Do any tax laws apply to babysitters?

Juggle is a platform for parents and students to make connections for childcare bookings, household help, pet sitting, etc., and each family member that is a part of the network is responsible for any applicable tax withholding and reporting. Juggle will send you an email receipt for each booking to make it easy to gather your information.

  • How does post-a-job work?

The fastest and easiest way to book a sitter!  Post the job parameters, including date, start and end time, and details and the request will go out to all available sitters and will be searchable by them.  The app will notify you when you receive an application, at which point you can view the sitter’s profile.  Click to book.  Applications expire after 24 hours.

  • Does Juggle have a referral program?

Yes!! Each family user has a unique referral code that you can share with friends via text or social media directly through the app.  For each friend referral, you earn $10 off of a future sit once they have completed their first booking.

  • How do I cancel my monthly subscription?

With Juggle you can cancel your monthly subscription at any time.  On the payments page in the app your payment type is highlighted.  “Pay-as-you-go” on the left and “Membership” on the right.  To cancel your subscription just tap “Pay-as-you-go.”  A pop up screen will ask you to confirm that you are cancelling your monthly subscription.  Your membership will be valid until the end of the current pay period (Monthly).  After that you can still use Juggle using the “Pay-as-you-go” option.

For Juggle Squad:

  • I’ve filled out the online application, now what?

Someone from Juggle will be in touch shortly if you meet our requirements.   You will receive an email with next steps and must participate in an online webinar (Check your spam folder).  If you’re invited to join the squad, you will receive an activation code and instructions to login to the app and begin filling out your profile.

  • How do I get jobs?

Once your profile is complete, you will be uploading your schedule of availability through the app. It is very important that you keep it updated with class changes, vacations, etc. If a family submits a job request, and your availability matches, they have the option of offering the job to you, and you have one hour to respond to their request. You will receive a push notification about the job request, so make sure your phone is set up to receive these notifications, and check your phone frequently.

Additionally, you can apply to any open job that a family posts.  You will receive a notification if a family accepts your application.

  • What happens once I accept a job?

Once you accept a job on the app, you will be provided with access to the family profile, address and contact information. The job details will populate to your calendar and it is your responsibility to arrive at the job at, or before the requested time.

  • How does the app track the time I'm at a job?

Your time on the clock will begin at the start of a job automatically and will end according to the time specified in the original booking.  Once the time for the job has ended, you will be notified to confirm and or/adjust the time.

  • Does Juggle pay for travel time?

Families have the option to allow you to include transportation costs when confirming a booking.  When reviewing openings, jobs that allow you to include transportation costs are indicated with a “Car” icon.

  • What am I supposed to do at the job?

You will be provided specific instructions by the person who has requested you, but we advise that Jugglers adhere to the Squad Goals. It is important as you build up your reputation through the app, and get reviewed, that you conduct yourself in a way that makes people want to hire you again and again.

  • What if there is an emergency while I’m at a job?

Each user provides an emergency contact in their profile, and many times, they will provide details once you get to the job. Use your best judgment, and dial 911 if you need immediate assistance.

  • How do I get paid?

When you fill out your profile, you will be asked to provide your bank account details, which our third party payment processing firm, Stripe, uses to deposit money provided by our users directly into your account.  It takes approximately 5 business days to see your first payment, and 1-2 business days thereafter.  Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays are not business days.

    • 1 child: $11/hour *
    • 2 children: $12/hour*
    • 3 children: $14/hour*

*Juggle adds a $2/hour fee to the hourly rate a parent pays in order to fund transaction fees, operations, software development, and technical support.

  • Does Juggle provide any tax forms for sitters?

Juggle is a Third-Party Settlement Organization (TPSO) and only provides a 1099-K to sitters who have booked over 200 engagements AND made over $20,000 in income. If you do not meet both of those criteria, you will not receive Form 1099-K. However, sitters will still be individually responsible for reporting their respective taxable income and should consult their tax advisor about the information they will be required to gather.
