FAQs

You have questions, we have answers!

For Parents/Families:

  • Do I have to have a Facebook account to use Juggle?

At this time, it is highly recommended.  Connecting your account to Facebook allows you the opportunity to see who your friends and associates have used and reviewed.  It also adds a layer of security for both the sitters and the families hiring them.

  • How do I use Juggle?

If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can download the app for FREE through the App Store.

  • Do you only offer babysitting and petsitting?

The first version of Juggle is offering babysitting and petsitting, but we hope to offer party assistance, private coaching and household assistance very soon.

  • Do you offer overnight pet sits?

While you can’t schedule an overnight sit through this first version of the app, we are working on adding this capability. In the meantime, if you have a need for an overnight sit, please reach out to Juggle at support@whyjuggle.com and we can make arrangements for you.

  • What are your RATES:

    Babysitting Rates

    • 1-2 Children—$12/hour
    • 3 children—$15/hour
    • 4-5 children—$18/hour

If you have more than five children, for instance, if you have multiple families getting together and need a Juggler to supervise the children, it is necessary to hire more than one Juggler. At least two families will have to make requests for the same job.

    Pet Sitting Rates

    1-2 pet(s): $12/hour

    3 pets: $15/hour

    5+ pets: $18/hour

  • Is there a subscription fee?

Juggle does not charge a subscription fee. There is a $3.99 booking fee for each job, and users have the option of choosing a $9.99 monthly fee for unlimited bookings.

  • Why do you need my credit card information?

As a convenience for our users, Juggle has streamlined the payment process by using a third party credit card processing firm. No more fumbling for cash or your checkbook, trying to do the math in your head.  Much like Uber, you are automatically billed after each job.

  • Can I meet a Juggler before I hire him or her?

If you would like the opportunity to get to know your Juggler before the job, you are encouraged to book the job with a half hour lead time. That way, you can be around while your children or pets and the Juggler get to know each other. If you don’t have time for this, you can put as many helpful details in the job request as you’d like.

  • What if I need a Juggler on a recurring basis?

At this stage of our development, it is necessary for you to book each job individually. We hope to offer a “nanny” option soon, so that you can book a Juggler for a regularly scheduled job.

  • Is it necessary to tip a Juggler?

While Juggle gives the option of tipping your juggler at the end of the job, it is not necessary. It is completely discretionary; if you feel your juggler has gone above and beyond, and would like to tip him or her, we make it easy to do so.

  • What if I need a Juggler for less than an hour?

There is a one hour minimum for hiring a Juggler. This covers the Juggler’s travel time.

  • What if a Juggler doesn’t respond to a request?

After one hour, you will have the ability to go back and request another Juggler for the same job.

  • How do I contact a Juggler?

Once a Juggler has accepted a job request, you will be provided with their contact information. It’s important, however, to fill in job details when submitting a request.

  • How do I reschedule a booking?

If only the hours of a booking need to be changed within the original booking date, you can arrange this by contacting your juggler directly, and he or she will check into the job for the new hours.  If you need to change the date of a booking, you will need to cancel and re-book within the app.

  • What if I need to cancel a Juggler?

You have the ability on the app to cancel a scheduled Juggler by going to your home page and swiping left on the job to reveal the “cancel” button.  There is no penalty for canceling at least three hours before the scheduled job. If you cancel within three hours, however, there is a $25.00 cancellation fee.

  • What if a Juggler cancels?

Hopefully, if a Juggler needs to cancel, he or she does so allowing you plenty of time to book a backup Juggler. If it is within three hours of the job, first try booking an on-call Juggler. If that does not work, you can contact Juggle at support@whyjuggle.com for assistance.

  • Can I favorite a Juggler?

Yes! To make it easy to see if a Juggler you’ve used before, and liked, is available, you may favorite them and they will appear at the top of the list of available Jugglers. Favorite a Juggler by pressing the heart on their profile.

  • Does Juggle perform background checks?

Through our development research, and by surveying people across the country, Juggle concluded that providing mom-approved college students, and offering the ability for users to see reviews from friends and associates, was far superior to allowing anyone with a basic background check to become a Juggler.

  • Do any tax laws apply to babysitters?

Juggle is a platform for parents and students to make connections for childcare bookings, household help, pet sitting, etc., and each family member that is a part of the network is responsible for any applicable tax withholding and reporting. Juggle will send you an email receipt for each booking to make it easy to gather your information.

For Juggle Squad:

  • I’ve filled out the online questionnaire, now what?

Someone from Juggle will be in touch shortly if you meet our basic requirements: you have an iPhone or iPad; have reliable transportation; and have an active Facebook account. You will be asked to fill out a longer request for information, and will likely be scheduled for a face-to-face interview. If you’re invited to join the squad, you will receive an email with a link to login to the app and begin filling out your profile.

  • How do I get jobs?

Once your profile is complete, you will be uploading your schedule of availability through the app. It is very important that you keep it updated with class changes, vacations, etc. If a family submits a job request, and your availability matches, they have the option of offering the job to you, and you have one hour to respond to their request. You will receive a push notification about the job request, so make sure your phone is set up to receive these notifications, and check your phone frequently.

  • What happens once I accept a job?

Once you accept a job on the app, you will be provided with access to the family profile, address and contact information. The job details will populate to your calendar and it is your responsibility to arrive at the job at, or before the requested time.

  • How does the app track the time I'm at a job?

Your time on the clock will begin at the start of a job automatically and will end according to the time specified in the original booking.  Once the time for the job has ended, you will be notified to confirm and or/adjust the time.

  • Does Juggle pay for travel time?

No, your job through Juggle only begins upon arrival.

  • What am I supposed to do at the job?

You will be provided specific instructions by the person who has requested you, but we advise that Jugglers adhere to the Squad Goals. It is important as you build up your reputation through the app, and get reviewed, that you conduct yourself in a way that makes people want to hire you again and again.

  • What if there is an emergency while I’m at a job?

Each user provides an emergency contact in their profile, and many times, they will provide details once you get to the job. Use your best judgment, and dial 911 if you need immediate assistance.

  • How do I get paid?

When you fill out your profile, you will be asked to provide your bank account details, which out third party payment processing firm, Stripe, uses to deposit money provided by our users directly into your account.

    • 1-2 children: $10/hour
    • 3 children: $12/hour
    • 4-5 children: $15

Parents are encouraged to tip at the end of a job, so offer stellar services to earn this bonus!

  • Does Juggle provide any tax forms for sitters?

Juggle is a Third-Party Settlement Organization (TPSO) and only provides a 1099-K to students who have booked over 200 engagements AND made over $20,000 in income. If you do not meet both of those criteria, you will not receive Form 1099-K. However, students will still be individually responsible for reporting their respective taxable income and should consult their tax advisor about the information they will be required to gather.
